Martin Sheen and son – Emilio Estevez – are slated to appear at a book signing at Barnes & Noble at the Grove tomorrow evening (May 11th) at 7 p.m.
The winsome twosome will unveil their book – “Along the Way” – and chat up fans and book-lovers alike anxious to have their copies signed up-close and personally.
The organizers promise an entertaining evening – at which – Sheen & Estevez are expected to share amusing anecdotes and behind-the-scenes looks at the film industry (and the roles they play in it).
Although I have not met Emilio, I was fortunate to work with Mr. Sheen on a TV MOW for CBS which was titled “News at 11” (one of the reasons I sign off with that phrase at the Tattler, by the way).
I found Martin to be quite down-to-earth and generous with his fellow actors.
No word from their handlers if bad boy Charlie will turn up out-of-the-blue.
Uh-huh!
I worked on two projects with Charlie ("The Boys Next Door" and "The Rookie") - in a small capacity - mind you.
On those occasions, I personally observed that the former “Two And a Half Man” television star to be focused, polite, and professional in every respect.
Of course, that image was shattered last year when Charlie flipped out.
But, the “man” is slowly – and surely – making his way back.
By the way, Charlie, I have a blanket with the face of a tiger weaved on it.
You’re welcome to borrow it anytime, if ‘ya feel the need, eh?
Stay posted for updates.
