Tonight the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival kicks off with a big splash at the DGA with a dazzling red carpet premiere of “Shanghai Calling”.
At press time the organizers announced that a smattering of celebrities are slated to appear at the glitzy soiree in West Hollywood.
Bill Paxyon (who stars in Shanghai Calling) is expected run past the gauntlet of paparazzi with co-star Daniel Henney and Director Daniel Hsia for starters.
In addition, quite a few of the high-profile actors starring in a number of the projects being screened during the course of the ten-day event are also expected to turn out in full force to make for a glittering night.
I’ll have my video camera ready to capture the likes of Alan Ruck (Ferris Beuller’s Day Off), Randall Park (Supah Ninjas), Lynn Chen (Yes, We’re Open), Susan Hirasuna (KTTV Anchor), Brian Tee (Fast & Furious), Parvesh Cheena (Outsourced) as they trot into the theatre to catch “Shanghai Calling”.
Tattler readers may recall that I published a post a few weeks ago outlining the highlights of the annual film festival which has become a monster event that folks in this neck of the woods look forward to each year in May.

Of course, film buffs won't want to miss the "gala" features being screened throughout the festival which include Shanghai Calling, Sunset Stories, Valley of Saints, Yes, We're Open, and Joyful Reunion (to name a few).
See 'ya there!
