Although Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, it is anticipated that thousands of costumed revelers will swoop into West Hollywood and strut their stuff at the annual Carnival Parade.
The wild-and-woolly parade (on the two hippest square miles of prime real estate on the planet) is one the largest celebrations on All Hallow’s Eve.
The festivities kick-off at 6 p.m. and shut down just before the witching hour at 11 p.m. But, party-goers will roar on into the wee hours of dawn, just betcha!
The West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval will include three large stages featuring various themes, upbeat music, and entertainers along Santa Monica Boulevard between Doheny and La Cienega Boulevard.
Some of the highlights include the "Drag Hotel of Horrors" stage on Santa Monica Boulevard at San Vicente which will feature a fun rock-and-roll drag show with campy burlesque and pyrotechnics.
Jeffrey Damnit will emcee what is expected to be a vastly entertaining stage show.
Performers at the "Drag Hotel of Horrors" stage will feature Hedwig and the Angry Inch; Tranzcontinental; Helles Belles; and Fire Groove.
"The Dungeon of Sin" stage located at Almont Drive will feature the The Sideshow Sirens; Barbie’s Addiction; and Vaud and the Villains. Entertaining “Andy” from Vaud and the Villians is slated to act as Master of Ceremonies.
"The Thrills and Chills" stage located at La Cienega Boulevard and will include performances by Zen Freeman; The Orchestre Surreal; and Miss Barbie-Q.
There will be a lot audience interaction, if the hosts have anything to say in the matter!
DJ Max Von Ville will perform at "The Demon Dance Club" Stage which will be situated at Westbourne Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard; DJ Moses Truzman will perform at the Turntable of Terror Stage located at North Palm Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard; and DJ Aaron Colbert will spin at the Undead Dance Hall Stage located on North La Peer Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard.
