When I strode into Starbucks in WeHo bright-and-early this morning (across from 24-hour fitness) I was taken aback by the peculiar conduct of one of the Baristas on duty at the counter.
Usually, the servers are quite "bubbly" and all over the customers, anxious to deliver up their orders quick-as-a-wink.
One young lady was the exception, though.
Every time she handed over a cup of java to a patron, she kept her head down, and made a point of hiding her face beneath a ubiquitous el cheapo baseball cap.
Was she suffering from a bad case of acne?
Just maybe, she got her period earlier today, and couldn't face the world?
Frankly, I thought that her conduct was rude and insulting to the patrons.
If she’s embarrassed about working at Starbuck’s, maybe she should turn in her apron, and hand off the job to an eager out-of-work individual who would appreciate gainful employment.
The customers deserve to be treated better, if ‘ya ask me, Ma'am!
