Los Angeles Holiday Guide...Handel's Messiah! Big Bad Voodoo Daddy! Breakfast with Santa!
For those of you anxious to jump into the holiday spirit, there are quite a few special Yuletide celebrations on calendar over the weekend that run through the Christmas holidays for locals and out-of-towners to participate in.
For example, this evening there is a festive holiday “sing-along” at the Music Center Plaza that is sure to make all revelers feel warm and fuzzy inside (free).
Tomorrow night, music-lovers will probably be taking a trek down to Walt Disney Concert Hall to tap their feet to the swinging beat of "Big Bad Voodoo Daddy" and his unique song stylings.
Personally, I may try to snatch up a ticket for Handel’s Messiah (my favorite piece of music) which is being performed by the LA Master Chorale on December 22nd.
Meanwhile, not to be outdone, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is tossing a breakfast party with Santa on December 22nd and December 23rd (free).
The Biltmore Hotel - in the heart of LA LA LAND - is also hosting a Winter Afternoon Tea now through December 30th.
Skaters may be inclined to take to the ice at Pershing Square now through January 21st.
And, last but not least, folks may want to check out the Winter Evening Weekend Concerts at Pershing Square now through December 30th.
Check your local listings, the LA TIMES, and the Downtown News for details!
Happy Holidays.
