Channing Tatum…"People" has named the “Magic Mike” hunk “The Sexiest Man Alive” in their upcoming issue. The handsome actor – who weighs in at a beefy 195 pounds - thought he was being punk’d when he was first notified by the slobbering editors at the slick popular mag. Obviously, the dubious honor won’t be going to his “hotness’s” head anytime soon!
Daniel Day-Lewis…was initially reticent about taking on the complex role of "LINCOLN" (a characterization which will undoubtedly rustle up an Oscar nod) for a couple of reasons. “I was intimidated by the politician and not moved by the script,” he fessed up for the record, in so many words. Once he found the “voice” (Lewis allegedly stayed in character throughout the shoot on-camera and off) he was able to crawl under the skin of one of the most-respected Presidents in U.S. history, though.
Naomi Watts...”She’s a beast,” according to director Juan Antonio Bayona, when quizzed about his “Impossible” leading lady. “In Spain, actors like Javier Bardem, we call beasts,” he explained to one reporter recently. In essence, he was complimenting Watts for being able “to go dark places and to go to that suffering. No matter how hard I pushed her, she was happy about it.” Regardless, Watts is under the impression that she is the most self-doubting second-guessing human on the planet.
Javier Bardem…the SKYFALL arch Villain celebrated a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past week at a prestigious location in front of the El Capitan Theatre in downtown Tinseltown. Fans may recall that the character-driven actor won a coveted Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in “No Country for Old Men” in 2008. Bardem just finished lensing “The Counselor” with Ridley Scott which is due for release in November (2013).
