Brad Pitt is making a star turn in the arena of Interior Decorating!

The actor recently teamed up with Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, Pierre Chareau, and Paul Dupri-Lafon to create a stunning collection of tables, chairs – even a fantastic bed – which will be unveiled November 13th thru November 15th in New York design circles.

The bed is an Art-Deco ocean liner featuring a lustrous tropical hardwood frame that extends from its gently curved headboard , along the floor, to a graceful arc that ends up in a cantilevered bench capable of seating one. Refinements include exposed nickel trusses to support the king-size mattress, integrated shagreen foot pads, and nickel side tables with silk under-glass tops. Simply gorgeous!

According to Pitt, the designs have been twenty years in the making.

“I’ve been doodling ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990’s when I first discovered Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright,” he disclosed in one interview recently.

“Actually I found Wright in College when looking for a lazy two point credit to get out of French,” he fessed up sheepishly.

“It forever changed my life.”

And, now, his musings are bound to change the life of many others.

Pitt’s passion for architecture and design was well-established in his “Make It Right” foundation which enlisted the aid of prominent architects to create affordable housing in post-Katrina New Orleans.

Pitt is also known for his eclectic taste in modernist and contemporary furniture which he has collected in recent years to envy of others.

Will Brad be giving up acting to become a leading visionary designer?

Stay posted for updates.
