The Eden Inn Hotel...comfy budget accommodation in Vegas best-kept secret!

Although high-rollers jetting into Vegas may be keen on luxury suites boasting sunken tubs, well-stocked mini-bars, spectacular views, and twenty-four-hour room service - at the other end of the spectrum - budget-minded travelers may be inclined to spring for no-frills accommodation where they can rest their weary heads for a night or two.

Heck, the bucks saved on room costs are better spent on dining out, catching the local sights (a day-time trip to the Grand Canyon is a breathtaking adventure) or even relaxing in an air-conditioned casino with exotic cocktail in hand for an hour-or-two.

With that in mind, I highly recommend The Eden Inn Hotel on a side-street off the main strip in downtown Vegas.

The surprisingly attractive rooms are a paltry $125.00 - $150.00 a week and are all equipped with mini-fridges, AC, free WiFi, and wide-screen TV’s.

The cozy rooms each contain a small pristine-clean sink, medicine cabinet, and novel bathroom set-up.

Two rooms share a toilet and shower by way of a discreet door that connects through the main wall.

As long as a guest is mindful about “setting the latch”, there won’t be any unexpected - oops moments - during his or her stay.

Aaron – the handsome owner (and his doting wife) – have wisely decorated the rooms in pastel colors which match up with the curtains, bedspreads, and upholstery on the armchairs.

The plain white walls appeal to my own aesthetic taste.

There are perks, too.

Each room is stocked with little packets of shampoo, hair conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, and even an extra roll of two-ply toilet paper (gosh, I’m blushing!).

At 9 a.m. each morning the manager serves up free coffee, doughnuts, and pastries.

Hurry, though.

A few minutes after the hour, the scrumptious snacks will all be gobbled up!

I’d be remiss if I did not mention that a handful of the trendiest nightclubs are just about a block away – and that they throb into the festive night ‘til at least 2 a.m. (later on weekends) – so if you’re insistent on “quiet” you may have to pass on The Eden Inn Hotel.

Otherwise, jump right in on the Sin City fun at the Fremont Experience.

After a few cocktails, guests have only to stumble down the strip a block or two to find their way “home” to the Eden.

Tell them Julian sent you!
