Ellen DeGeneres - a stand-out stand-up comic - who rose to International fame by virtue of her popular afternoon talk-show (and a brief stint on "American Idol" as a compassionate Judge) was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday!
As usual, Ellen was quite the ham when she turned up at the glitzy red carpet ceremony in Hollywood with her "wife" - Portia de Rossi (a slim beauty!) - by her side.
Ms. DeGeneres is also well-known for her extraordinary acts of kindness, charitable good deeds, and funky dance moves (which I continually poke fun of!) in the community-at-large.
