Downton Abbey…fans are saddened to hear that Dan Stevens (the Matthew Crawley character) is moving on to new acting challenges. Although the handsome actor admits that the Upstairs/Downstairs-style drama brought him quite a few accolades – and a whole new wave of popularity – he complained to one interviewer recently that the highly-rated Emmy-winning drama was “too monopolizing”. Not to worry, folks. Another sexy hunk will probably step up to the “plate” to take his place before you can utter up: “You’ll never take lunch in this town again!”
Michael Phelps…while AP and Sports Illustrated were busy touting the Olympian’s athletic prowess this past week, some “debunkers” had their hands full researching comments Phelps made about “pissing in the pool” earlier this year. The organization was trying to determine if urinating in the pool was harmless (and not unhealthy) as the Olympian innocently claimed. By golly, when the verdict came in a few days ago, everyone – myself included – was surprised. According to scientists, pee is sterile when it is expelled in a golden stream from the body. I suppose that is why people who get lost in the wilderness for days, and are forced to drink their own urine, never get ill! Even still, I’m not inclined to give it a – um – shot!
Taylor Swift…is slated to perform on the ever-popular New Year’s Rockin' Eve celebration on December 31st on ABC alongside talented performers such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Train. Where will you be when the count-down starts up?
