Years ago when I was residing on Harper Street in WeHo, I often trotted down to the French Marketplace for breakfast or a light lunch.
One day, when I slipped into a counter seat, a handsome young man turned towards me and struck up a conversation.
At one point, I was curious about his livelihood.
“What do you do for a career?”
“I give parties,” he chuckled, just before breaking out into a wide infectious smile.
Nice work if you can get it, eh?
Later, I learned that the outgoing upbeat “party” boy was none-other-than Jeffrey Sanker, who was well-known for his wild “White Parties” and a posse of studly dates hovering at the ready 24-7!
Originally, the White party was drummed up to - not only raise funds for A.I.D.S. research (and treatment) - but, also link up the Gay Community’s pre-A.I.D.S. “T-Dance” history which goes a long way back, girls!
This year’s Miami event (dubbed RESET) – November 19th – thru 2012 - is expected to be a sizzling-hot White Party Extravaganza to beat all others.
A highlight is expected to be the gala party at Soho Studios at the Wynwood Convention Center where a sea of studs in dazzling white will parade by under the stars 'til the crack of dawn.
The Muscle Beach bash on Sunday will feature special live! performances, hot DJ’s, marathon dancing, fireworks, and a lot of other festive surprises.
