As Cher would say:
“Let’s hear it for the dress!”
Lady Gaga’s infamous fashion “meat” ensemble has become a staple of Museum Exhibits in the good ole U.S.A.
Well, at a lofty venue sponsored by the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of fame, for starters.
The prestigious organization is slated to launch a National Tour that puts the sizzling spotlight on the Pop Diva's novel fashion (political?) statement which caused quite a sensation when it was first unveiled at an award ceremony last year.
The fascinating exhibit – which includes Loretta Lynn’s song “The Pill” – not only focuses on pioneering women in the frenetic realms of Rock ‘n Roll – but also - traces their influences on music over the past few decades.
The Exhibition is titled:
“Women who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power”
The collection is comprised of about 250 one-of-a-kind artifacts (once owned by the likes of Madonna, Stevie Nicks, and Cyndi Lauper, to name a few) and just opened at the National
Museum of Women in the Arts at the tail end of the week.
“The show represents women who are engines of change and creativity,” summed up curator Meredith Rutledge-Borger.
Catch it if you can, eh?
