Blumhouse of Horrors...paranormal fright night at Variety Arts Center! October 4th!

Thrill-seekers who love to have the be-Jesus scared out of ‘em – and get a jump on Halloween – will undoubtedly be trotting down to the Variety Arts Center on Thursday night (October 4th) to wallow in “The Blumhouse of Horrors”.

Filmmaker Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity) has transformed the 1100 seat Theatre into a hair-rising theatrical “art performance” piece featuring frightful ghosts, demons, and dark magic.

“I want people to be surprised. I think people bring different expectations to a haunted house and I want to surprise those expectations and have them surprised at how good it is and tell their friends,” Blum enthused in a recent press interview locally.

Blum chose the Variety Arts Center because of its historical background in the thrills and chills department.

Back in the 20’s – in the Theatre’s golden heyday – the stage was home to one of the most deranged magicians until a tragic performance put an end to it all.

“Things are scarier when they have a past,” Blum chuckled wickedly.

A crew of 30 people have been working feverishly over the past four weeks to create the macabre experience.

And, more than 40 actors are slated to portray – peek-a-boo – characters in the shadows as guests are led through the House of Horrors (not knowing what to expect!).

The quirky theatrical project runs October 4th (opening night) through November 3rd.

The adventurous may want to book now for Halloween or be SOL.

Uh-huh!

Blumhouse of Horrors will probably sell out!
